Video conferencing solutions of the BDBOS Meeting Platform

As the federal government’s network operator, we provide several solutions for audio and video conferencing. They differ according to the user group they are aimed at, and fulfil the different requirements of the users as needed, in particular with regard to the level of security. Our conference solutions are bundled into the BDBOS Meeting Platform.
“CMS-Bund-Instanz”
With the “CMS-Bund-Instanz”, we provide what is potentially the best-known video conferencing solution within the federal administration. And the special thing about it is: its use is not only possible within the federal networks. End users can also take part in conferences on the “CMS-Bund-Instanz” from the interconnection network itself, and externally via a normal Internet connection.
The “CMS-Bund-Instanz” is particularly suitable for video conferencing between federal, state and local authorities, on the one hand, and non-authority entities and individuals, on the other. In full HD resolution, several thousand participants can communicate in several hundred parallel conferences via the “CMS-Bund-Instanz”. At a lower resolution (HD or SD) or via telephone, the number is even higher. Operational capacities are being expanded at regular intervals.
Participation is device-independent via web browser, video conferencing system or optionally by telephone. To do this, participants need the conference ID and passcode included in the booking confirmation or conference invitation.
Important notes and questions
Only persons who belong to a registered authority or organisation can book a conference via the “CMS-Bund-Instanz”.
