The BDBOS is the federal government’s network operator.

We develop, establish and operate high-performance critical communication infrastructures and services. We guarantee the communication capability of governments, public administration and all emergency, rescue and security forces in Germany, thereby making a decisive contribution to public safety and the proper functioning of state institutions. We represent an integral part of the German security architecture.

We pursue our vision as the federal government’s network operator with this clearly defined remit. Our goal: to connect Germany’s entire public administration infrastructure reliably, securely and confidently.
