Since 1 July 2019, Bjoern Wilck has been the press spokesperson for the Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio As head of the Communications department, he is responsible for the authority's public relations work with all stakeholders in Public Safety Digital Radio and the Federal Networks – including the website, the magazine 'Wellenreiter' and the appearance of the BDBOS at trade fairs. Together with his team, he coordinates both internal communication and external communication with media representatives, the public and organisations.
Born in Hamburg, he is moving from Bonn to Berlin: Most recently, he had been press spokesperson and head of the press office of the German Academic Exchange Service – (DAAD) since 2017. Previously, he was head of staff at the Berlin University of the Arts and communications officer at the Hamburg-based private bank M.M.Warburg & CO.
The communications graduate studied communications in Berlin and Barcelona from 2002 to 2007 and completed an international public management programme in Salzburg, Vienna and Washington from 2011 to 2013, graduating with an MBA.
