The BDBOS exhibition stand sparked a great deal of interest among visitors. Emergency service personnel, members of the public, representatives from politics and business as well as public safety authorities and organisations had informative discussions, gathered specialist information and gained an impression of the federal authority, its tasks and the current challenges.
In addition to Public Safety Digital Radio, the central topic of the BDBOS was its further development into a broadband communication network for the police, fire brigade, civil protection, rescue services and other digital radio users. This included frequency acquisition to support this development, aligning with this year's Interschutz theme of “networking”.
The BDBOS emphasised the enormous relevance of a dedicated frequency range for future public safety broadband applications not only at the trade fair stand, but also in specialist presentations; because frequencies save lives.
The six-day trade fair attracted a total of more than 85,000 visitors to the Hanover Exhibition Centre, where more than 1,300 exhibitors from over 50 countries presented their products and services. The BDBOS participated together with the THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief) as one of the major user organisations of Public Safety Digital Radio. A joint trade fair appearance is also planned for the next Interschutz from 1 to 6 June 2026.
