GPEC is one of the largest police and internal security events in Europe and once again attracted many thousands of visitors to Leipzig this year. This year's trade fair took place under the patronage of the Saxon State Minister of the Interior, Armin Schuster, at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre and offered over 450 exhibitors the opportunity to exchange ideas with trade visitors.
The BDBOS had its own stand at the fair. The authority's participation was organised under the banner “Digital radio saves lives”. The federal authority's trade fair team was on hand to answer questions from the many interested visitors over the course of three days and was delighted with the large number of visitors. Visitors included representatives from state police forces, fire brigades, the German Armed Forces and international visitors, for example from South Korea and Luxembourg. The BDBOS Vice President and political representatives from the federal and state governments also visited the stand.
The video project “BDBOS-Kids”, which was created last year, was also shown at the stand; visitors to the trade fair showed great interest and were able to win giveaways in a quiz. The BDBOS project manager gave a presentation on the KoPa_45 broadband innovation funding project as part of the “Innovation radar for internal security: developing ideas ready for use” symposium, which took place at the same time.
